Inner Healing and Eating Disorders SG
Many of us struggle with identifying and caring for our feelings. We often tell ourselves we don’t know what we feel, or that the feeling is wrong or we shouldn’t feel the way we feel. This denial of inner experience often leads to avoidance behaviors, dissociation and numbing behaviors which include eating mindlessly or bingeing.
In this talk you will learn not only how to recognize how you are feeling but most importantly what to do with that information. You will also begin to understand some of the hows and whys we became so disconnected from our feelings. By the end of this talk, my hope is you will be able to move toward self compassion and self validation as well as a sense of agency over your ability to care for your emotional needs.
