This month’s support group was led by Natalie Stephens, a bariatric Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist. Natalie is an eating expert and food coach. She believes that dieting is not about restriction. It is about getting satisfied and feeling great at the same time.

I actually use two of these techniques to help with my anxiety and they really work well. The resonance breathing is great for when I just need to relax when I find my anxiety starting to flare up. The 4-7-8 technique is one I use when I am having severe anxiety or a panic attack and it really helps to calm me down. It gives me something to focus on so I am not thinking about my anxiety. I am going to try these when I have snack cravings to see if they help me to reset my brain’s thinking.
