My Favorite Holiday Coffee

I love love love having my peppermint mocha espresso in the mornings throughout this holiday season.

Here’s my recipe:

  • 1 shot of espresso
  • 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1-2 small drops of peppermint extract
  • (To make it a latte, I’ll also add 8 oz of unsweetened almond milk)
  • For extra holiday flare, you can grate a little bit of chocolate peppermint bark on the top!!

If you want to jazz it up into a latte, you can also add collagen peptides for an added 10g of protein! Collagen peptides are unflavored and dissolve in anything liquid. They are not a complete source of protein however, so if you’re in the early phase of surgery and are working on building up your calories and how much you can eat, I’d use Unjury unflavored protein powder (as it is a complete source of protein).
